a no-photo quickie

i'm sorry i have to pull a quickie on you but i'm out of the city this weekend hence no access to my own computer hence no blog updates.

still, it has been quite a weekend starting from thursday.

thursday night ... Saturday Afternoon's Last Show in Melbourne (more on that tomorrow)

friday day/night ... shopping/preparation for rooms' 2nd semester bbq, half-dinner (had to leave early) with the boyfriend's archi friends, and did a loner at Bennett's Lane to see Yvette Johansson and the Joe Ruberto Trio, but left after the first session. was too tired after an argument and slightly warped by loneliness to sit through the second half of the gig. by the time i left the jazz joint it was 11.10pm.

saturday day/night ... bbq at albert park, great location by the lake...but the swans and wild ducks were over-friendly, inviting themselves to our party and pooping around our bbq area. we had to chase them off with badminton racquettes. watched Inception (finally) ... feels like a tea party where Sigmund Freud, the Wachowski Brothers and Michel Gondry sat down and talked gaily about a world where dreams could be invaded, subconciousness penetrated and ideas implanted, all done while dodging wild fire bullets, fighting off the bad guy in midair, and affronting personal sentiments and insecurities all at the same time. you're huffing and puffing right now? that's how u'll feel at the end of the movie.

sunday ... woke up at 10.30am! reluctantly. cooked a failed breakfast with leftover sausages from yesterday's party.... the sausages were undercooked...and sent back to the pan twice...the boyfriend was unammused (oops...) sat in while reading the newspaper as the archis engaged in a help and share session. it is admirable and respectable, really, this idea and practise of theirs. the boyfriend and his uni mates meet over the weekend to discuss ideas, challenges and issues relating to their workfield. journalist can never do that. someone's story might end up getting published on the front page of a rival newspaper or station and rupert will not be happy.
