good morning sunshine.

there are some conclusions about several things that were pending from last week.

number one. i have finally paid and enrolled for that japanese language class at RMIT short courses centre. my classes commence on 14-9-10.

number two. i have finished reading Ma Jian's Stick Out Your Tongue thanks to insomnia. highly recommended. ff says don't believe everything you read, and i'm not sure if that is coming from a political viewpoint, but politics aside, i think Ma Jian managed to draw us a painting of Tibet that was magical, beautiful, cultural rich, religiously bonded but not all the time holy. it was like a satirical painting of Amitobha sticking his tongue out. or Amitobha showing his middle finger. it was rude, pornogrpahic even, but Ma Jian laid it out so well in simple, unpretentious words (point to note it was translated so many things could be lost in translation), and his afterword reflected both his criticism yet support for the restoration of this soon forgotten land and her cultural. his voice against Communist China was loud and clear after being exiled from his home country. he now resides in London and his books are banned in China.

anyways...i'm breaching sensitive area here...

number three. three out of five at the table last night suggested that i go back to do an internship, do not commit myself entirely to rooms. actually their answers were more complicated than that, but i've summed it up. jessie stood on the fence and kept asking me what i want. if i wanted to stay then i should get them to sponsor a masters, etc. but, even if they were to agree, i don't want to feel indebted to anyone, especially knowing that i won't be woking for them in the long run. so the conclusion is i will propose to do the marketing trip. hand down as much as i can before january. and pursue an internship in malaysia during those two months of being back home.

number four. i've sent SYN.fm my aircheck. but have yet to receive a reply. tummy in knots. see how hungry am i?
