i was not able to check out moh 2010 after all, hence i stayed back at work. leong (my big boss) ying (his daughter, my colleague until september)and i had lunch at Doncaster --- yoong taufoo... nothing like jalan ipoh's but not bad for melbourne's standard.
leong has upped sim's offer (sim is my 2nd boss, his youngest brother) with regards to my summer 2010-11 plans. bro has actually booked a ticket for me to go home in early january. however, that's when our new building (yes, rooms international is expanding, the plan stalled but it'll be in full operation in february 2011) will be up and running. hence, they want me (they do not have a choice perhaps) to stay behind and have all hands on the deck --- in other words, i will be almost fully in charge of the applications for our current residences whilst sim focuses on the new one. sim has offered to buy me another ticket back during easter break and will cover the cost of that 'burned' ticket my bro has already booked.
today leong brought up his initial offer (again) - that i do the annual marketing trip in malaysia, singapore, indonesia and shenzhen/hongkong. that means i have to visit our existing education consultants (think IDP!) and hand them the brochures of the new building, the basic pr marketing. all expenses paid.
i am excited actually and i think i can definitely do that. but at the same time, my plan was to look for an internship in a malaysian radio or tv station. dilemma dilemma. my parents advice was a no but it just struck me that i am 21, hence at the end of the day it is still my decision.
and honestly, missing one chinese new year won't hurt, or shouldn't hurt when you're young. besides, mum will be coming in october and my graduation will be in november. being young should mean being out there, throwing yourself at deep ends, facing up to challenges. i am just unsure if that means giving up a possible internship --- an internship that i have yet to secure?
can someone flip a coin on my behalf, please?

ReplyDeleteJust wondering, you targetting astro for the internship? seems you need feel coin flip for the list of decisions up there...
thank you! yea, i've decided that i've been tossing the word 'catch up' around too loosely, so why not utilize blogosphere...=p
ReplyDeleteyes...or media prima as coursemates have informed me that it is quite easy to get an internship there. i am still thinking deep and hard about this...
Well, i'd always support that we go for sth thats once in a million chances when we still have the youth to afford the time and effort on it.
ReplyDeletesigh...thing is both are sort of once in a million chance...
ReplyDeletehelp! =((
ReplyDeleteindeed quite hard to choose...maybe analyse both once more, see which one your heart really wants... or write down the pros n cons of both possibilities perhaps something will weight more... Anyways, do not regret any of the decision. Every one of it happens for a reason... Hopw it helps. :)
